If I remember correctly, this field simply returns the value
based on whether or not the Include when
publishing option is checked for that particular
asset.

Timtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/82706752011-06-29T20:00:56Z2011-06-29T20:00:56ZIs-Published Still True After Unpublish

Oh, shoot. OK. So no way to know if a page actually exists on
the web server?

Kristag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/82706752011-06-29T20:26:03Z2011-06-29T20:26:03ZIs-Published Still True After Unpublish

Kris, sadly no. I think I posted this to the old support forum a
year or two ago. We would like to see that field accurately
represent what its name implies because our news staff often
publish their RSS feed accidentally revealing a story they haven't
finished yet, which of course links to a broken URL because the
page asset isn't published yet. D'oh!

If I remember correctly, the built-in metadata field called
start date, if set and in the future, prevents an asset from being
rendered by an index block, however, it's not a very elegant
workaround nor is it a guarantee that the asset is published to the
server.

Lee Roberson (Function Digital LLC)tag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/82706752011-06-29T20:27:03Z2011-06-29T20:27:03ZIs-Published Still True After Unpublish

That's correct. There isn't any sort of synchronization between
Cascade and the web server once content is pushed to your
Destination(s).

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks

Timtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/82706752011-06-29T20:36:06Z2011-06-29T20:36:06ZIs-Published Still True After Unpublish

OK, thanks guys.

Kris
