Question regarding edit form for an index page

I am trying to edit my "Index" page in the FACADMIN RPT pages. I open the index and it appears correclty, but when I go in to edit I get some medical student language.

Is it possible that the index page is set up to pull content from another source or automated in some fashion so that it isn't using content entered into the WYSIWYG for that page?
When you view the page and click on "Configurations" (located underneath the "Publish" tab), do you see any block or format assignments for the DEFAULT region or are both of those fields blank?
