Data Definition
I am currently on the task of minimizing the amount of content types that I have in my site, The only problem with that is if I put everything together my data definition would be very messy with all of the different kinds of fields that come from the different content types. My question to you is what would be the best way to organize all of the fields? Could we add conditional statements if the user click Yes certain fields would show up?
Thanks!

Fernando,
Absolutely - using the smart field option in the Data Definition would be a great way to go. Especially when trying to minimize content types. You can add the logic in with Radio Buttons, Check Boxes and Drop Downs. Just look for the "Show Field" option.
Let me know if you have anymore questions!

Hi Fernando,
Graham is absolutely correct, the smart fields option in Cascade will certainly help. Can we assist you in any other way with your consolidation project? The Services team has worked on many consolidation projects, and they usually start with a site audit/analysis documentation. If you are interested in working with our team, please email me at [email blocked]. I am the Services Project Manager.
Thanks,
Lisa

Hi Fernando,
If you haven't, you should join the Cascade Users Group discussion. I have been posting many interesting ideas related to the master template approach, showing how to use one template, one content type, and even one region system-wide to drive multiple sites. I also provide reusable code on github and the .csse file containing the implementation, which I called "the standard model", on my site.
Here is a test page generated by a one-region template:
