Hi Tim or Ryan,

Having some issues implementing a new design with a new index block and format that uses velocity instead of xml. It worked great for the first 5 sites with numerous folders and pages, but i am updating the sixth site and the navigation started to disappear leaving only the external links. What is odd is that as I was switching the design over and the navigation was still picking up pages that had the old design but with every new one that I converted it was removed from the navigation. Did not do this in the sites that I converted earlier. I checked that everything I had in this sixth site was set up exactly the same as the others.

I am going to ask my director if I can remove our news and events archives from '06 to '11 Which from an early post you said could help. Also we will be implementing a new intranet that a good deal pages and files not used in student recruitment will be placed, but that wont happen till the end of the year.

I had to increase the Max Rendered Assets from 1500 to 2000 but this didn't not help. I am looking for documentation on how to clear the Index Block Render Cache and didn't find it in the Hannon Hill cm+cs area. Can you please advise on how to do this?

    Hi Robert,

    To clear the IB cache:

    • Click System Menu -> Preferences -> General
    • In the Index Block Rendering Cache field, un-check the Enabled check box
    • Click Submit

After doing that, you can immediately check the Enabled box again to re-enable the IB cache. Each Page you navigate to after that will render their IBs from scratch.

Let us know if this helps.

    Thanks

Yes, it seems to be working correctly again.

Perfect. Yea, at the current time I don't believe the cache will be automatically discarded when increasing the Max Rendered Assets preference. We have an issue filed in our internal tracker to correct this in the future, but the current workaround will be to perform the steps you just did in order to refresh the cache.

    Have a good weekend!
