Configuration Set .html override
Our current file extension in our configuration sets is set to
.shtml
whereas the .html
was reserved for
our mobile site. We no longer have a mobile site and have since
disabled that template and destination but there are still pages on
our site that publish to a .html
extension with the
mobile template. This only becomes a problem when we create vanity
URLs for specific pages and it reads the .html
first
on the server before the .shtml
version.
Is there a way to publish both to .shtml
and
.html
in the same output or would I have to create an
identical output and just have it publish to
.html
?

Hi Matthew,
You are correct in that you will need to basically replicate the
.html
Output for.shtml
.This does sound interesting though. That is, being able to maybe supply multiple extensions per output. Please feel free to post a suggestion on our Idea Exchange if you would like for this functionality to be considered for a future release of Cascade.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
