<p>Your steps are definitely a valid way of accomplishing this;
however, as you mentioned this will lead to existing relationships
pointing to the new, "archived" location.</p>
<p>Another way to accomplish this and to help minimize the need to
update existing relationships would be to copy the original folder
to an "archived" name and overwrite the existing assets. This way
the existing relationships remain intact.</p>
<p>Either way, you may need to update relationships somewhere
during the process. With your method, it's more obvious where the
incorrect relationships are because they will be pointing to the
archived folder, as opposed to perhaps not pointing to an asset at
all (if there are links to assets that were removed in the new
folder).</p>
