Canceled publish job does not stop/dequeue

After submitting a huge publishing job, we clicked to Cancel it by hitting the red "X" icon on the publishing queue screen. The job then showed as "canceled" in the publishing queue, but continued to publish for 15 more minutes, until it reached 100%.

Screenshot is attached. We are using Cascade 7.8.1.

Is this a bug? Is there a preferred way to cancel a publishing job so it is immediately halted & dequeued?

Thanks,
-Leah

    Hi Leah,

The increasing percentage of a cancelled publish job is a normal occurrence.

What happens is the initial publish job will be expanded into additional background jobs. During cancellation, all of these background jobs still need to be processed and cancelled. At this point, the percentage is indicating the status of this cancellation process.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!
