Hello,
I just noticed that in the example.edu of Cascade's install, there is an Events Calendar. I would like to set it up. I am not sure what all is involved in getting that done. I was looking around and ended up getting confused. There are so many moving parts. There also is events and calendar events.

Can someone help me through setting up and Events Calendar using what is provided in the default installation.

Thanks,

Akbar

    Hi Akbar,

That example is an older one from our default database that users can reference to see how a calendar can be created. We recently held a webinar showing off a new Calendar Site that our clients can download and implement in their own instance of Cascade Server. Check out this link for more information.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Tim,

We are still on Cascade version 6.8. The note on Github says Cascade version 7.2 or greater. Will it work for us then?

    Thanks,

    Akbar

    Hi Akbar,

This will not work with older versions of the software. As noted on Github, you will need to make sure your instance is using Cascade Server 7.2+.

Is there no other way of doing it?

    Thanks,

Given the flexibility of Cascade Server there are numerous ways you can approach setting up a Calendar in the system. The demo I linked to above is just one example. Unfortunately, the scope of a project like this is not something that our support team can assist with (except for helping with small details) via these help forums. If you would like more assistance I would need to put you in touch with our professional services team. Let me know if that is something you are interested in and I can provide you with more information.

    Thanks

    Hi Tim,

If it does not cost money, then yes. If it does cost money, then no.

    Thanks,

    Akbar

    Hi Akbar,

Going this route would come at a cost depending on the number of man-hours our team spent with you. If that is not an option, my recommendation would be to upgrade to the latest version of Cascade Server as soon as you have the chance and then follow along with the webinar that I linked in my first comment.

    Thanks

Totally understandable. I'm hoping your organization will upgrade soon as the current version you are on has not been supported in quite some time.

    Have a good one.
