Hi,

I am developing a news site within Cascade that houses our current news and press releases, and I would like to implement a region that for "Related Articles" to go with each press release tagged by keywords. I have the meta keywords field in place, but I am unsure of how to develop a "related articles" section from the keywords. Would you have any recommendations on how to do this?

    Hi,

One option that comes to mind is to:

    • Create a Content Type Index Block that indexes your press releases and has the Append Calling Page Data option enabled.
    • Create a Format that would grab the keywords for the calling page (ie news page) and gather all press releases that contain a matching keyword (be sure to exclude base assets used for asset factories)
    • Create a region in your news template for the related articles listing and apply both the Index Block and Format you created.

By adding the Append Calling Page option, you gain access to the keywords from the news article you are currently viewing/publishing and can loop through each of them and use XPath to find any press release that contains the same keyword.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks
