Long Publish Time

Only one directory takes a long time to publish in our queue. When we try to publish our image directory it takes a very long time. All the other directories publish in a timely manner. Any Thoughts???

    Hi,

    There are probably a few things you will want to check:

    • Do you have Smart Publishing enabled? You can check by going to System Menu -> Preferences -> Content. If that option is enabled, this should save time by not publishing files that haven't been updated.

    • How many images are contained within the images directory? Are these images large? Larger files will take longer to publish to your web server(s).

    • How many destinations are you publishing out to? If you have staging destinations, try disabling those temporarily to see if that cuts your publishing time for this folder.

    • When you publish the images folder, are there any errors in the publish message that you receive on your dashboard?
