Sites listed in Site Management not in alphabetical order

Why are sites listed in Site Management not in alphabetical order, except the for the admin role? We reserve the admin role for only a few users, and we have over 100 sites. For the roles that we enable Site Management the people for those roles do not see sites listed in alphabetical order, making it very difficult to find and administer sites. We have inquired about this previously and thought it would be an obvious bug fix, but after two years I'm wondering if this issue will be addressed.

    Hi Tom,

I do see that we have this recorded in our tracking system as a potential improvement for a future version of Cascade.

Let me check on the status of this for you. In the meantime, feel free to use the link I have provided to track the progress of this improvement.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks.

    Hi Tom,

Just wanted to follow up to add that an alternative method to finding and managing sites could be to type the Site's name into the Cascade search located in the top right corner. The Basic Search feature could also be used to to search for a Site by name.

If a result is found, you would see the Site listed in the results. Clicking on the link would take you straight to the site management page for that specific Site.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks.

    Hi Ryan,
I'm just checking to see if there is any hope, change, etc. that Hannon
    Hill will address this issue?

    Hi Tom,

Thank you for following up on this issue. It definitely seems to be an easy fix that would be beneficial to instances with a larger number of Sites.

Unfortunately, I do not have an official timeline for you, but I wanted to let you know that I went ahead and moved the improvement I mentioned previously up near the top of our development timeline. I would suspect it to be considered for an upcoming release of Cascade Server, so definitely keep an eye out for it on our Release Notes site.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

Thanks Ryan! I was thinking that it might be an easy fix similar to how
the "Site-chooser drop-down" places sites in alphabetical order.

Not a problem at all, Tom. I am not 100% sure, but my guess is the query used to populate this list may need to be tweaked to order the Sites.

I'm going to go ahead and close this discussion, please feel free to comment or reply to re-open if you have any additional questions.

    Have a great day!
