Google Analytics with Universal Analytics
Hi, does Cascade Server 7.6 support Google Analytics with Universal Analytics enabled? If it does, does Cascade Server's analytics gain anything with Universal Analytics?

Hi,
To confirm, are you referring to the Google Analytics Connector?
Let me double check with the developers to confirm, but from what I am reading Universal Analytics affects the means of collecting data (ie analytics embed code). The GA Connector on the other hand, uses the Core Reporting API to report on collected data. If that is the case, the GA Connector should support accounts that have migrated to Universal Analytics.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!

Hi,
I wanted to follow up to let you know I have confirmed with the developers that Universal Analytics appears to affect the actual collection of the data and not the reporting of the data, which is what the GA Connector is doing. As long as the tracking ID stays the same, it should not have any effect on the Connector.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!

Not a problem at all.
I'm going to go ahead and close this discussion, but please feel free to comment or reply to re-open if you have any additional questions or if you do find any issues with using the Connector with a GA account that has been switched over to use Universal Analytics.
Have a great day!
