Invisible WYSIWYG Content

Support,

We've been having a problem recently with WYSIWYG content not showing up the way it's supposed to. For certain areas of our site, the content inside won't show up in the box immediately. The only way to bring it up is to view it as HTML or, for some reason, to add a column. Once the column is added, all the content shows in the box like it should.

Any reason why this would suddenly start happening? We've looked at the XTML format and data definitions, and they seem to be working as they should...

Are your users using Firefox 11? There is an issue in Firefox 11 #211 where the WYSIWYG content is not loading on the initial page load.

    The workarounds are to:

    • resize the text box
    • user Safari, Chrome, or IE until we're able to address or until Firefox addresses it

As an FYI - the problem persists in the current build of the FF12 beta.

Thank you for this. I was hoping it was a fixable bug.

Looks like the problem occurs in IE as well. Not sure what version. Either 8 or 9 I think.

Can you please include a screenshot of this happening in IE? The issue we're tracking is Firefox specific at this point, so this sounds like it would be a different issue.

The upgrade to Firefox 12 fixes this issue - I just did the update and it works fine now.

    Thanks Graham.

mrenfer - if you're still seeing this problem in IE, please include a screenshot and the specific version of IE so we can investigate further.

    Thanks!

I'm going to close this issue for now as this issue was fixed in Firefox 12. mrenfer - if you happen to be able to reproduce this in IE, please let us know.
