Code Editor problem when editing HTML Editing using Safari Browser
We just upgraded to Cascade 7.10, and are having an issue with the Code Editor when it comes to editing HTML.
When using the Safari Web Browser on a Mac and editing the raw HTML of a page, the Code Editor has a problem where text does not get added or removed at the location of the cursor. Attempts at typing make text appear a number of characters BEFORE the cursor. The number of characters away from the cursor appears to depend on the location of the cursor on a page. It makes it nearly impossible to use the CMS with Safari if you edit the HTML directly.
I've seen this problem previously when creating Formats, but then it was only an issue for Administrators. Now that the Code Editor applies to HTML as well, every end user using Safari is experiencing the problem. This problem does not appear for Firefox, but some of our end users have good reasons to use Safari over Firefox.
Anything you can do to help would be appreciated.

Hi Erik,
This is a known issue with the current version of the ACE Editor that we are using in Cascade Server. We are actually in the process of upgrading Ace, so this fix should be included once the upgrade is included within a Cascade Server release. Unfortunately, I do not have an official timeline for the Ace upgrade, but I can say it is relatively high on our timeline.
In the meantime, the workaround would be to either follow the instructions on the page I linked to above to set that user default, or use a different browser.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
