Naming plugin not stripping commas
Hi, I know that commas are technically legal in URLs, but the problem is with bots: sometimes bots don't recognize that commas are legal and (I'm guessing) assume that it's a list of URLs and so split them at the comma. This results in bots crawling the site coming up with broken link, so for example, instead of linking to "xxx/writing,-dance-and-art.html" it tries to link to "xxx/writing" and "/-dance-and-art.html. Stupid bots.
Would it be possible for you to change the naming plugin so that it strips out commas from asset names? I always think it feels wrong to see a comma in an asset name, so this would help my psychological well-being, as well as keeping the army of bots happy. :) Thanks!

Hi,
I checked our idea exchange and it looks like someone has filed something similar here. Can you please be sure to add your votes/comments on it?
In the meantime, if you or anyone in your organization develops in Java, be sure to check out this page which includes information on writing your own plugin.
Let me know if you need anything else!
Thanks

Great, thanks for letting me know about the idea. With 6 votes, it could be a while. :(
I commented on the idea: did I link to the right repo? No one I know programs in Java, so this is something I'm unfortunately going to have to wait for.
It does seem like such a small change though, so maybe someone can slip it into a release soon...
