Hello,

We are running version 7.6 and are experiencing issues with IE11 on windows 8.1 machines.

When you are editing a page, adding items such as tables and images etc.. automatically adds these items to the very top of the page.

Even if you are halfway down a page, the cursor jumps to the top, then images/tables etc.. are added there.

You then must select the item, cut, navigate back to where you where, then paste to have these items places where they are supposed to be.

Are there any fixes you all have for the Editor so it will behave with IE11?

Trevor

    Hi Trevor,

Thank you for reporting this issue. My apologies for the inconvenience this is causing you.

The current version of TinyMCE we are using in Cascade Server supports up to IE10 and I am guessing IE11 support was added with TinyMCE v4. Unfortunately, jumping to TinyMCE v4 will require quite a bit of overhead due to the major overhaul in their UI and plugin API (which we are using for the link and image choosers). That being said, it is definitely on our radar as we look towards supporting for IE11 in Cascade Server.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

Not a problem at all, Trevor.

I went ahead and logged this as an internal issue in our tracker so we know what bugs to check for as we look towards upgrading TinyMCE and adding support for IE11. In the meantime, using an older version of IE or another browser would be some additional workarounds to cutting and pasting the content into the correct position.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!
