unexpected behavior (?)
Hello
We need to publish a selected number of assets from a folder to a test server (before they are published to production); but after selecting them and choosing "publish" from the "With selected" drop-down menu at the bottom of the screen, the assets are directly sent the to publish queue bypassing the destination selection step that we normally get when clicking on the "publish" tab on the top. Is this how the program is supposed to behave; if so, how do we select destinations when I only need to publish a partial groups of assets from a folder? If not, what is the timeline for the fix?
Thanks for your assistance with this matter

Hi Erick,
This functionality has always been present in the system. It wasn't ever possible to do this before Site objects were introduced in 6.0 (just based on how Targets worked). However, now that we do have Sites in the application, having this functionality should be possible. I've created an idea for this here.
Please be sure to vote it up!
Thanks

Does it mean that if voted up, and if selected among the "vote-ups" it will only work for sites?

That is correct. Since the Global area has used and always will use Targets, this functionality will not ever be feasible in that area. The Sites model does enable for us to implement this ability.
Let me know if you have further questions.
Thanks

Is there any workaround for the Global area?

Hi Erick,
Apologies for the delayed response. There aren't any workarounds in the Global area.
I'll go ahead and close this one out.
Thanks
