Data Definition
6.8 Production, data definitions give error message "Parsing error - document has more than one root element" for any poorly formed XML, not just multiple root elements.
Data definitions that worked in prior versions like drop down lists that included ampersands or double quote characters seem to cause this behavior.
Was tracking this down because it appeared to be related to problems with being able to render the edit pane for metadata for the pages that use one of our data definitions. The first error that tipped us off is that the browser was having trouble with one of the regex expressions that was in the data definition.

Just tried creating a new data definition and putting the options
"Harry"
and
Harry & June
in the drop down caused this error.

Jason, can you please attach a screenshot of the error message you're receiving. I'm seeing different behavior related to the unencoded ampersand?

Note the two double quotes around Harry
upon submit yields the attached error message.
Strangely even though this is badly formed xml it was accepted by the user interface in prior versions and worked in prior versions.

Hi Jason,
I was going through some older posts and saw that this one was not closed.
Given the age of the discussion, I'm assuming this was resolved in a newer version of Cascade. I'm going to go ahead and close this discussion, feel free to respond or comment if you are still experiencing this issue or have additional questions.
Thanks.
