<p>The Stale Content report would be your best bet here; however,
the email/alerting functionality would need to be done manually as
opposed to being automated. To help streamline this a bit, you can
bulk notify by selecting multiple assets (using the checkboxes
along the left-hand side of the report) and choosing the
<strong>Notify by Email</strong> option within the dropdown at the
bottom of the stale content report.</p>
<p>That being said, I do see a <a href=
"http://ideas.hannonhill.com/forums/52559-cascade-cms-ideas/suggestions/4475232-automatic-email-to-warn-of-stale-content-upcoming">
related suggestion</a> on our Idea Exchange to add the ability to
schedule automated emails for content needing to be reviewed. I
highly recommend voting for this suggestion if you would like to
see it implemented in a future version of Cascade Server.</p>
<p>Please let me know if you have any questions.</p>

having the option of automating it.</p>
<p>Thanks for your input Ryan,</p>

to provide a simple solution through the UI.</p>
<p>That being said, you may be able to do something externally
using Web Services or by querying the database directly. In theory,
you would obtain the assets (or stale assets) and send off the
emails within the script. Alternatively, you could periodically
export the stale content report as a CSV and loop over those
results. Or, it may be possible to automate logging into Cascade
Server and pulling down the CSV using some kind of <a href=
"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Behavior-driven_development">BDD
framework</a>.</p>
<p>Either way, each method assumes you know beforehand who would be
the owner of the content. We have a <a href=

related suggestion</a> on our Idea Exchange we are currently
reviewing that could eventually automate asset ownership.</p>

All seems extremely timely and difficult… Hope to see this
feature along with others in the future.</p>
